NPS Strap

My first job in photography was as a photographer’s assistant at Ambrosi Chicago where I photographed tabletop and room scenes for catalogs.  This job taught me to pay attention to detail, be subtle with lighting and remember your setups because you never knew when a client would come back weeks later asking you to make the silverware look more shiny.

Recently, I was given an NPS camera strap by a rep and I decided to take some photos of it for fun.  Nikon Professional Services is a great service that basically allows you to try out any of Nikon’s cameras, lenses or other equipment for free.  Once I became eligible for membership, I didn’t hesitate to sign up.  Luckily I found a sponsor and now here we are.

I’ve always enjoyed the peace and concentration of shooting objects on tabletop.  It’s always a challenge working in the smaller world where less light is needed and you can make use of small reflectors made out of pieces of paper.  Here are a few of the shots I came up with.
