Over a decade of moments

For the past fourteen years, I have been the staff photographer for NorthShore University HealthSystem.  During that time, one of my main duties has been to photograph patients, doctors, children and dogs for Connections Magazine.  Hundreds of people have passed in front of my lens and they have welcomed me into their lives sometimes for a few hours, sometimes for a few minutes.  I remember each person and situation and count myself lucky to have been welcomed in if even for just a moment.  Those conversations are always more real and revealing.  To have heard the stories that many of us don’t know exist within those around us has been one of the most rewarding things in my life.

Here are a few of the photos that I have captured for Connections over the years.  Some of these people are no longer with us.  But their light shines on in these images.
